Formed in the late '70s by keyboardist Virgilio Canales, Mexican/Regional band Liberaci贸n became a top-selling artist when the group received three golden records in 1992 for Entre Nubes. They won a Heraldo award in the category of Pop Music Revelation and reached triple-gold status once again in 1994 with Directo Al Coraz贸n. Mainly playing Cumbia norte帽a and traditional ballads, Liberaci贸n's breakthrough came in the mid-'90s while touring the U.S.
